The worst problem might be the multiplication of models : A1, A3 (3 doors, 5 doors, Sportback, Cabriolet), A4 (Saloon, Avant, Allroad), A5 (Coupé, Cabriolet, Sportback), A6 (Saloon, Avant, Allroad) A7 Saloon, A8 Saloon, Q5 Q7 (future Q4 and Q6) TT and TT Cabriolet, R8.

I do understand they would like to respond to any kind of demand from the public but at this stage it's maybe to much and the need to rationalized the production might come difficult.

why are people complaining about wide choice among Audi cars? it's not a secret that Audi decided a couple of years ago (prolly even before) to cover every piece of market available.
it's all about statistics: you can't like every single car that comes out from the factory
