Animal Crossing 3.0 is almost here—and if you’re like me, you both can’t wait and feel nowhere near ready! As a player juggling two islands at very different stages, I wanted to share some tips, a little of my own journey, and also a shortcut I wish I’d found sooner: MTMMO.COM for ACNH 3.0 items (https://www.mtmmo.com/animal-crossing-items).

My new “Trip Falls” island is a work in progress—no time travel, no treasure islands, just pure vanilla gameplay. I’m prepping for the 3.0 update with basic strategies: earning bells by harvesting crops, checking hot items every day, and building up my infrastructure. And like many, I’m saving up for those pricey home and storage upgrades that always come with new patches.

I’ve found that selling hot items like the donation box or silo can net huge profits, especially when they show up on the daily list. If you’re patient and keep an eye on these opportunities, you can rack up bells surprisingly fast!
Getting ready isn’t just about money. I’m also stocking up on Nook Miles, finishing off all my Nookmile Redemptions, and—because I love the hybrid hunt—growing rare flowers with the help of friends. The key tip here? Invite others to water your flowers for a boost!

Pro tip: If you own Happy Home Paradise, finish at least 30 homes! This unlocks the Wardell catalog and lets you order almost any regular item you’ve unlocked in-game, making decorating after the update a breeze.
Over on my OG island, “Catbute,” things are more settled. I’m not rushing to redecorate because with so many new ACNH 3.0 items coming at MTMMO.COM and in the update, I know I’ll want to overhaul areas anyway. Instead, I’m clearing space, especially around the pier and beaches, to make room for new features like the hotel and visiting villagers.

One thing I’m hoarding? Crafting materials. Visit Nook Mile Islands, collect everything—trees, stones, resources—you’ll thank yourself later. And if you’re already loaded with bells and miles, check in on friends who might need extra DIYs or help with their own pre-update prep.

“There’s nothing we have to do to be ready for an Animal Crossing update, but I want to enjoy the 3.0 stuff as soon as it drops, regardless of which island I’m on.”
